“Give us an afternoon and we’ll give you the world!”

No previous technical knowledge or Morse code requirements are needed. This class is for anyone who would like to obtain their technician level amateur radio license. The class consists of guided study sessions and hourly breaks, followed by the FCC testing session.

Please understand that this is a “study hall” session, where you will memorize the test questions and the proper answer.


What to bring with you…..

If available bring a legal photo ID such as a Drivers License or Passport.

If no legal photo ID is available then bring 2 pieces of legal ID.

Your Social Security Number.  If you do not wish to use your SSN then you will need an FRN from the FCC.

You may apply for an FRN in advance on the FCC website by clicking the link.

Anyone 16 years old or younger must have a parent or legal guardian present for the entire session..

A calculator, you may not use your phone as a calculator.  The memories must be cleared before testing.

Pencils and pens for filling out answer sheet and license forms.  (we will have some to borrow)

Preregistration is preferred as seating may be limited. (Latest dates and times listed on form)
